I know it's been a while, but I'm still trying to keep my fingers in coin collecting. Some of that is good, but other parts are bad. The good part is it keeps me busy and my brain active, the bad part is I seem to have lost my filter on how much I can spend. i will share some of my more recent purchases in a minute, but right now I'll try to catch up those that might care, what's been going on with me. Still recovering from my right eye surgery, and now I need my left eye done. Nothing serious, but it causes me to have poor vision to the point I can't read anything without it being blurry. My cancer seems to be stalling and the doctor's have no answers as to why. One would think that was a good thing, but after donating, selling, and giving away almost everything, believing I only had a couple of months to live, leaves me living in an empty cabin. I even gave my land and cabin to my friend that has been supporting me in this stressful time. The one thing I haven't completely gotten rid of, is my coin and currency collection, but I have assigned them to my survivors when the time comes. I will try to pop in when I can, but make no promises. Thanks to all that gave me good wishes. I appreciate them.
This is brilliant to hear. Screw cancer. My meds have had surprising success. So when my doc told me I had metastatic melanoma in 2021 and all he could say was "do you want a referal to a psychiatrist" I can now say go blow a goat and catch up to moderm medicine! He had condemned me but I am cancer free ( clear PET scans etc.). Keytruda, Mekinist, and Tafinlar are working so far!!! Keep on going MM.
What an absolutely great surprise. So good to hear from you. I pray your health improves and you eventually decide to refurnish the cabin.
Well, my day was already made from news in my own family, but this made my week. It's GREAT to hear from you again!
@Mountain Man, A strong and good person. Glad you are doing well. Just maybe some prayers are helping you! I think soooo! Good luck on your next surgery. Great seeing you peek in.
Great to hear from you. Your strength is an inspiration. Did you have cataract surgery? I had a similar issue with losing my nearsightedness after the surgery but cheap "readers" from Walgreens solved the problem.
Glad to hear from you! Every time I get on CT I'm hoping to read something from you to know that you are still with us.
Lovely to hear from you again. Glad for the update!……stay strong and keep on doing what you like…Always good to have you posting, so keep us in the loop as you go onward…we’ll be there with you…Spark
@Mountain Man. So good to hear from you again. Now that you have all that room in your cabin you can start filling it up with more Dansco folders, or maybe adopt a bear as a roommate like Grizzly Adams. As a fellow cancer cohort in remission, thoughts and prayers your way.
I am very happy to hear from you. I appreciate your contributions to this forum and thanks again for the this very neat item. I think it is really beautiful. It fills a hole in my collection for a Proof coin which never existed.
thanks to all of you that commented. I appreciate all of them. I will continue to try and make CoinTalk a regular site I go to, like I used to.
