GERMANY 1 MARK, 1966 F, WITHOUT EDGE INSCRIPTION?

    I have been told that the subject coin without an edge inscription is rare. The subject coin does not exhibit an edge inscription. It does however exhibit edge decoration (incused, leaves and separators).
    Does the subject coin qualify as "without inscription"?
    All thoughts welcome.

    Find images below. The last two are of the edge and show incused devices that are exhibited...absent is any sign of an inscription.

    Nice, I don't know anything about German coins but I have a German made medal below, notice the 980 on the reverse, that's top shelf gold there! :D Maybe someone will chime in to help you with your Mark! thumbsup.gif

    The edge photos you show are normal. The inscription referenced has no letters, just a repeating pattern of stars and other ornaments. I think most references use the term inscription even if there aren't actual words.
