1951 D wheat cent that appears to have been struck through fabric? What would it be worth? Looking around online similar coins are priced anywhere from $5 to $500.

Not sure about being struck through fabric, honestly. The rim suggests it might have been compressed for something like an encased coin or similar. If it were struck through fabric I don't think this would have caused the rim anomaly as it would not have been strong enough to do this. I'm otherwise at a loss and maybe someone else has a better take on this.

To me it looks like it was heavily corroded and someone sand blasted it clean due to same damage on both sides.

I have a couple of half cents that have that surface. I would guess years of env damage would do the trick.

Yes, I thought it quite odd too. Looks like it was spoon hammered or something like that. It is rolled over on both sides. Probably why there is some verdigris left on the back. Here is my sand-blasted large cent, it used to be black. DSC04170.JPG DSC04171.JPG

The rim looks quite odd until you look at the way, it was cropped. The spooning and sand blast is more evident.
