Missed out on a great coin

I only know the Babylon issues because it's the only one I've got, so I can't comment on the reliefs on the other, but I will concur that the relief on mine is out of this world.

I only have old pictures of the relief and they are not that great, but it should still give you an idea of how nice the relief is on the coin.

PS: Notice the small test cut on the rim in picture #1. Thankfully they didn't put it on the obverse or the reverse of the coin. That would have been a crime with how pretty it is.

On a side note, thankfully the ancients also put the test cut on my Athenian Own tet on the rim and not the faces of the coin.

I measured these 6 tets, between a calliper they are 5 mm each.
CoinType I wonder how thick a posthumous Alexander from the Babylon mint would be ?

I knew it was a lifetime :shy:, but I included it becuase there are not too many nice relief shots on the interwebs.

Currently, I only own the Tarsos tet. Still waiting on another.

I was the underbidder on this one pictured below. Unfortunately for the winner, I'll be performing harmful incantations aimed at him in my shrine all week.

Do sorry you missed Nicholas, but WOW, that is a great coin! I can see why you feel stung.

I am not bidding/buying for an interlude (not money, but for other reasons); had I seen that, I would had been in on the battle for it!

I lost this denarius of Caesar AFTER the auction appeared to be over. The seconds ticked off and I still had room to spare. But a few moments after I seemed to have won it and no time left a 'outbid' message appeared:confused::(

I am sorry you missed it. I saw it too and almost bid but the state of the bust held me back. The good news is there are more out there.

Generally speaking, I consider JC portrait denarii that have a considerably better reverse than obverse to be flawed :D. You'll find a better one.
