Looks like there's a Tetricus II Caesar AE Antoninianus? I never really collected the Tetricii, and it's in rough shape, so it could be Tetricus I or even Victorinus. The portrait seemed more beardless to me. The Tetricii of the breakaway Gallic empire were pardoned by Aurelian and the father lived on to be a governor. It looks like a fun group lot. First page, what in the world - these are old! group pic, it looks like a couple of the coins on the edge at 4 and 5 o'clock have bronze disease and should be stored separately. One looks to be the General marceau 1851 one but the individual pic doesn't look like it has the bright green.
If they could, I'm afraid the dealer would've already heard them yelling "whaddya mean, $25 for ALL of us?!!?"
Yes these are French Jetons. I'm not positive what the jetons were actually used for, but I believe they were more like gaming counters. OK, it seems there were used "placeholders" in accounting tables. This is also a French Jeton. There were four of five other jetons in the individual pictures. This was an AMAZINGLY good deal. The jetons alone appear to be worth around $5 apiece and up. (of course you may have problems finding interested buyers) One problem is there doesn't appear to be a lot of references on these. Seaby seems to have published a four volume set on these tokens back in 1988 by Michael Mitchiner but I haven't been able to locate any copies or prices for the books. I haven't searched but the best source for the books may be the ANA Library.
