I'm not a participant in any of these speculation games, but I know a few of you guys are. Apparently the Vault Box Series 8 release is today 9/25 @ 12 noon EST.

I enjoy following all of you that post your red core, black core, etc. Lets see who's going all in on the Series 8. Post it here.

    Good luck y'all.......

Thanks for the notification. Hmm, only $465...what a deal.

The toner Morgans are cool, although the toning is probably due to some help. But couldn't one be had at a LCS for much less?

I enjoyed my totally genuine toner (old collection), at less than half the price.

Too early for lunch and I’m not a napper. I’ll be pricing items for my antique shop. I find that fairly rewarding.

My Local Coin Club meeting is tonight. One of our members always gives a very comprehensive rundown on the latest US Mint offerings, recent errors discovered, and yes, the Vault Box offerings.

None of these topics interest me but he is an engaging and enthusiastic speaker, so I mostly stay awake.

$465 seems a bit much to go into something blind folded. I'll take my chances on something I can see.......

I will add that when I see things like this I wonder why? The answer is always the same. The seller is making a profit so they keep doing it. You take a loss on a few coins, the ones that draw the interest while all the others make more money than you’re losing.

I really wanted to take the chance! I bought a Series 7 and got a AU53 1857 Flying Eagle black core, then on the funbox I got a purple core 1900s MS 63 Morgan. Both had decent buyback offers. But heard my Dad, pigs get fat hogs get slaughter and $465 too steep for the risk.
