    Your note is interesting due to the July 4th cancellation. Most of these that I have seen have the April 13th, first day of issue cancellation. Very nice note.
    Sources show your note was made in January of 1976.

    I believe this was cancelled when the train was on display that day.

    Yep, post offices were Closed but some stayed open, such as mine in Richmond, which allowed us to cancel on July 4.
