This has got to be the coolest pattern I’ve seen. Friend found it in his grandmothers house

The black doesn’t come off is this tarnish? Looks cool but my friend thinks it’s ugly

has anyone ever seen a tone like this? It wasn’t dirty, and it’s only a 2009; maybe she left it outside or something. Anyway, is it worthless because of the tarnish now?

As a new member here, you definitely didn't show us a lousy coin compared to what we've seen in the past.
Not sure if it's natural but it's definitely toned and tan.

Are you showing me those patterns to demonstrate what an actual cool pattern is implying my friends looks bad either way yes I agree I actually have an ASE I left on the windowsill with a similar pattern — what u think?

edit: there was supposed to be an emoji there to show I was joking. Without the emoji my comment seems angry lol

Sorry, I’m now here. Can you elaborate? Are you saying you wouldn’t pay less for a Cain that looked like this. And toned and tan-good or bad comment? Lmao

Just being silly as usual. I like it better than the 2021 ASE.

    It's worth it's silver value, about $30.

I need to find me a nice 1999 ASE. I think I have just about every other year except 1999.

The one I posted with the light tone?

Boy was I confused at first. You're talking about the pattern of the toning, not an actual "pattern coin" which is something completely different.

Apparently some would pay more for a tone that looks good. Not sure if this is it haha
Price is going a little nuts we’re almost at 32!

Calm down, no one said it was ugly. Rainbow toning is more to most people's taste, but I kind of like your coins. Would I pay a premium...probably not, but it hasn't lost any value. ASE's are bullion coins and go for bullion prices in most instances. BTW, the first Columbian Exposition half-dollar I bought was so dark it had purple overtones but I fell in love with it.

I’m just playing around. Purple overtones look sick. Does that happen in the latter stages of oxidation?

I think so, I'll look for a pic.

It’s a toned silver ounce. It will always be worth the price of silver regardless of the toning m. As for toning, everyone has different tastes. Welcome to CT.

I didn't say it was ugly. "coolest pattern I've seen" in the title threw me off, that's all. I thought you were talking about a pattern coin.
