I'm wanting to see your Caracalla & or Geta.
I've recently picked up a couple of Caracalla AR Denaris recently from an auction on Forvm. I also picked up a Geta a couple of weeks ago from JA.
I'd love to see what you all have of these brothers. I'm looking to add more to my collection.
The Geta I've already posted once before so I'll hold off a bit on it.
Here is one of the Caracallas I picked up. I got it for the reverse, its rough but not to bad. If its a Pax & within my remaining budget I'll most always grab it up.
    Caracalla AR denarius
    19mm, 2.6g, Rome 215AD
ANTONINVS PIV AVG GERM; Laureate head right.
PM TR P XVIII COSIIII P P; Pax standing left, holding olive branch and scepter
RSC 314, RIC 268, SEAR RCV II, 6841
    20161031_203934.jpg Caracalla_Pax2.jpg
Post your Caracalla & Geta. While were at it might as well show off your Pax as well.

Caracalla has so many fantastic coins-- not sure why I don't have more of his!

This denarius was from a large mixed lot. It's nice enough, although not a particularly exciting reverse, someone standing there holding giant shish kebabs:

    Rome, struck 215 AD
AR denarius, 19 mm, 3.8 gm

Rev: PM TRP XVIII COS IIII PP; Fides standing left holding two standards
    Ref: RIC 266, RSC 315, BMC 143

Here's a provincial with an interesting reverse: Asklepios holding snake on a stick while flying on a winged snake:

Rev: OYΛΠIAC ΠAYTAΛIAC; Asklepios, holding a caduceus, seated on back of winged serpent flying right
    Ref: Varbanov 5007

I need a serious upgrade on my photography skills. I'll address that around the first of the year after the holidays.
When it comes to my pics they always look better in hand.

I am just getting around to photographing the last of the stuff that has been hanging around for the last couple of years. I am finding a good few coins that will end up on ebay. I am learning to photograph (trying) to follow Doug's advice and using the manual functions on the DSLR. I have a long way to go, but I am slowly improving. Once I have finished the stragglers, I will be reviewing all the earlier photos. A never ending job.

I just simply love that one. I was looking at a similar example on Forvm shop this morning.

These are all really nice, cool to see whats all out there. Surfing through the web & auctions lets you see only so much.

I snagged this one. Its broke missing a small part but still a keeper in my book.

I don't think anyone has posted one of these yet. PROFECTIO AVG, meaning "our glorious emperor is setting forth from the city... thank the gods!"
