Yeah, me too. This one has been on my want (gotta have) list for quite some time. It's a tough variety to cherry pick because it's real easy to spot so I snagged this one that's been in front of messy already.
Nice one. I've got a similar Peace Dollar that belonged to my Grandmother. My daughter is now the curator.
Well, it has the 1921 reverse, so you can stress out less about it. It would be an interesting act of cruelty to send it to @messydesk and ask him to attribute it from the scribbles.
Pardon my inexperience on this but what is VSS?? Are they a service like CAC that will assign the attribute to the coin but without the scrutiny and rejection if they don't like it?
VSS is Variety Slabbing Service aka messydesk. http://www.varslab.com/ His service is for variety (VAM) attribution only.
Well, I won't say I've had weirder submissions, but I've had similar challenges, including an 1878 7TF in FR2 (reverse was PO1) I attributed on a dare. Ended up being VAM 115.
Morgans aren't really my cup of tea, but let's get this thread moving again. Images by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job...
