1939 - 1942: PF67 $700 - $1000 These ranges are courtesy of PCGS price guide, slightly modified lower. I usually use HA for pricing info, but I think you can get a nice on in the above range. Of course, no coin is created equal.
If you have a good eye and brain ,there have been numerous gold coins from the mint that have at least doubled in price since 1986. I like art and really fine coins are art . I stay very selective with stocks that pay a dividend, and watch for companies that are worth much more than there market price. Last year Kraft ,spun off their snack business ( Mondelez. Then bought H.J.Heinz. They all pay dividends. My Wife who passed in early last year had bought Amazon at 26+ at 1000 shares. I keep bullion for what ever 100oz. and keep some silver in unopened boxes. It took me thirty years to accumulate a net worth of 5 million. I have not worked in twenty years . I help the local church school ,to make sure I give more than I receive. Why did she buy Amazon, avid reader to the extreme .Get a quality book for stocks like One up on Wall Street By Peter Lynch Happy holidays to all .
Thanks, I am betting that the mint will charge around $850-$900 for the gold half, so about the same price. So close to Christmas, tough call as to who can even afford it.
I'm gonna buy my WLGold with an Asset loan from Kitco, based on a Kitco bank loan to buy Gold/Silver inventories in which to leverage to get that asset loan. I figured, why not leverage my PMs to the max. Or .. maybe not. I'll just pay debit cash instead.
I will get one of the GOLD COMMEMORATIVES !!! ( not 3 ) but my coin budget will be all used up. (after this year) for the rest of this decade. LOL
Man you plan to be around a lot longer than me. Maybe that was the subliminal reason I passed on this series.
So you're gonna buy the Mark Twain gold half eagle then? I mean, it IS the only gold commemorative issued this year.
Will Mark Twain be. Featured on the Walking Liberty Commemorative ? Perhaps a small advertisement accompanying the COA ?
Well, if and when any Walking Liberty Commemorative is authorized by Congress, as all commemorative coins must be, we'll know when the design comes out.
and lest us not forgot Patricia Nixon gold Betty Ford gold Nancy Reagan gold American Buffalo gold proof coin I wonder when Fort Knox is going to run out of gold.
you can even buy it on it's own http://catalog.usmint.gov/100th-ann...ed-coin-16CB.html?cgid=commemoratives#start=1
OK once and for all. If you are commemorating an object it then is referred to as a commemorative. Just as you like to argue all the time makes you argumentative. Look, we both own older T-Birds, we both like coins, and we both have opinions, it's OK with me that yours is wrong. I know that we can still get along well, my brother. I have been told that you are completely pompous at times, but I defended you and said that you are not completely. Have to run so, we'll just have to agree that you are wrong, and I am right. Later, my friend. John.
'Tis you that is wrong, according to the law, which is the only standard I care about. You are free to use any loosy-goosey "I just feel this way" standard you want. I'll stick with the law. The law is what the law is. It is a fact, not subject to opinion.
