Who's buying them? What's the household limit? Think gold will drop after the election? Rise?

I bought the dime one because it was pretty cheap. Walking Liberty halves are by far my favorite coin but I just can't justify the expense. For that price I would much rather get a nice proof WL half.

It's on my list to complete my WLHs

Just one though. I don't need three and I'm not in the business of flipping.

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

It's going to be released November 17? Why? Has it completed its sentence? I don't now, and I never will, consider this monstrosity any part of a WLH set, BECAUSE IT ISN'T ONE!! It's a frickin' 1/2 ounce bullion issue, nothing more.

Same thing with the Winded Liberty and the Stander; BULLION, BULLLION, BULLION. Not commemoratives, and CERTAINLY not part of their similar designs sets. The Red Book be, umm, darned.

Similar to how Morgan Dollar collectors want fantasy dates of Dan Carr's work to "complete" their sets. "FRICKIN 1/2 OUNCE OF BULLION," right? ;):D

It's the same silliness. Carr pieces are a set of their own - not a part of US Mint issues at all.

That makes you closer to the deity. Now about that gold being part of the WLH set ... umm, no.

Why can't you let people collect what they want to collect, Bellman?!?!? :p

Because some of us have sworn a solemn oath to stand athwart stupidity wherever we find it and declare, "No more!"

And WOW, is coin collecting a target-rich environment!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll just put on my kilt and paint my face blue ...

Or, I could put on my Starfleet Officer gear, shave my head and declare:
"The line must be drawn here! This far, no farther!"

    it's Pretty,
    and it's Shiny
Same design. from the same Mint.

that makes it more than an economic benefit.
Close enough for me for some things.

Really? West Point? Huh, I missed those in the 1916-47 run.

    1916-47 - 90% silver. 30.6mm diameter.
    2016 - 99.9% gold. 27mm diameter.

"Which of these is not like the other one..."

from the US Mint. Same government ... just like bonds.

30.6 vs 27mm. Close enough for me. What do you expect. You have to have design constraints to maintain strength based on size, materials and weight.

If you don't like them. (1) don't buy them and/or (2) design and manufacture your own bullion round .. which won't be from the US Mint.

I'll wait until Daniel Carr's progeny re-smash these centennial monstrosities into 2116 fantasy pieces. :D:D:D

Hey, if you have an empty hole in an SBA or Sac album, this gold "half" will fit in there just about perfectly. :rolleyes:o_O

I decided months ago that my money will go for high grade Renaissance coinage, not silly bullion hype issues.

What about the other 90 years? Will it take that long to "enjoy" it?

I flipped the other two, and will do this one if the opportunity is there. I have a graded 70 dime, and will pick up a 70 in the others if the prices go low enough
