Wondrous brush for cleaning your coins

    Don't clean your coins unless you use a very special brush. Ran across this ad in the Numismatic Gallery Monthly. Wonder if the Swiss still make the magic brush.

    Brushing copper coins was very common in the 50's and 60's and still may be. It was not wire brushing but using a very fine brush similar to a paint brush, not really sure what it does to help but doesn't damage the coin.

    This is what is used on half of the "is this an error?" coins on CoinTalk :yuck:

    In EAC they also commonly still us the #4 jewelers brush which is made using fine goats hair.
