physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Why worry about a wagon at all?

With a gorgeously toned coin like that, I don't see why you shouldn't take it home with you. Fascinating story, and fabulous coin!

Do you know when in his reign that coin was struck?

No idea. I've seen various auction house catalogs that depict my coin and they all say 1236-1270. I can tell you though when this coin was definitely not minted, 1240-1242 because that's the time the Mongol hoard was busy looting, burning, murdering, and enslaving the Hungarians.

Taking wagers now, ladies & gents! This is a promise he may keep though, so bet wisely!

Okay, lets all pick a number representing days before he buys another. I'm taking 2.

When does he next auction end? I pick then! Seriously though, I live the new purchase, and am envious of your ability to acquire multiple awesome coins. Hats off to you sir.

Thank you. The amazing part is that I had zero bidding competition on this coin. Got it for $57 with shipping and buyers fee added in, so it was quite the bargain.

On vcoins they have one like mine, except with a much weaker and uneven strike (with lots of flat areas), and none of the nice toning (so it's not as nice as mine at all), and it's $65 when you factor in the shipping. LOL

Getting coins is nice, but getting a good deal on them makes it all the sweeter.
