Many years ago, I send this one into one of leading grading services, and it came back "artificial toning." I kept it because I really like the 1800 half cent. The reverse die was a leftover from the 1790s while the obverse was obviously 1800. It's too bad someone messed with the 1800 half cent in the OP. It looks like it may have been part of a hoard of Mint State pieces the surfaced a long time ago.
The first day of fiddling around with the new scope is in the books, and I was able to find the setting for dropping the file size. Hopefully it lets me post them here now. But after getting a few pictures in, I decided to go through my Morgan albums and finally get all those VAMs identified. I wasn't able to get them all, but the bulk of them for sure. Hopefully these post here! Here's the half cents I've got in my type set for the time being. I messed around with one set of the 1800 pictures to try adjusting the color a little bit
94-S Morgan and '09 VDB that I think has the type 2 DDO. It's nothing extravagant or expensive, and I'll be happy enough with it for now just having that hole filled in the book even if it isn't the DDO. Anyways, time to make dinner. Have a nice evening!
I like that! For 200 bucks, I'd absolutely demand that. Maybe one day I'll spurge. What is your make and model and I'll save that to my spank bank notes. Thanks.
It's an Elikliv EM4K-AF. The AF stands for auto-focus, which added to the overall cost. It was easily gotten on Amazon, and I'd buy it again if I were to go into it knowing how it operates. It's like night and day compared to my previous Dcorn scope lol
Thanks, it really is pretty. I'm assuming it's been cleaned because of some lines in the fields (it's very much PL in that regard) and incredibly difficult to get proper pics of. I'll keep trying though!
