    @Markus1959

    If I had been Maddon I would have told Chapman to try a bunt for the suicide squeeze.

    Check out Jasmin Ouschan of Austria. She made her debut in the States when she was about 16 and she had to have a chaperone accompany her. She won a qualifier in Atlanta that earned her an invitation to the Women's Championship at the Miccossukee Casino in South Florida. She beat three of the top ten female players before finally losing. Her stance, stroke and mechanics reminded me of Hall of Famer Jean Balukas.

    Really - will do! I'm amazed at what the Pros can do - Damn I used to be able to do amazing banks but compared to what I watch now a days it's more amazing. I still like going into a bar and making fools of these youngsters that think they can cut and bank - although I just play for drinks now, too old to play for money and they want to start fighting.

    When I was still playing at 60, I could show some of the younger pro players shots that they never dreamed of.

    I recall playing one pro (name withheld so as not to embarrass him) in 2005. It was an 8-Ball Tournament (the easiest game in the world to play!), race-to-5, double elimination. He was ranked 7th in the World Standings at the time. I knocked him out of the winner's bracket and then beat him again for the finals. One of his friends exclaimed, "You lost to Chris?" He said, "What could I do? I never got a shot!";);)

    I always played in bars just to pass the time - it was 4 quarters for a full rack - so always just played 8 ball - too many balls on the table not to set your next shot up, plus it was always 7 foot tables not 8
    Rarely played 9 ball

    I grew up in the DC area where all the pool rooms had 9' tables. The first game I learned to play was straight pool, and by the time I was 13, I could run 100 balls just about every time. I was 28 and had been playing for 19 years before I saw my first 8' bar table.
