I had a thought... Maybe I should start cherrypicking junk silver quarters for MS-64 and higher coins.

That was fast, I wondered how long before it would take someone to notice.

    I stand corrected :)
Had to look that one up.
Now I need to go check my 64D quarters lol.

A chiped die on the reverse with the mint mark?

What marking are you using for identification?.

    Is this something special?

I see a generic silver Washington, and if I was into that sort of thing I'd pay silver value for it.

Someone explain to me why I'm (apparently) wrong.

Rare microscopic variety that shouldn't really matter, but it does.

It is a 64D with the reverse of 65. The same type of error as the 92 close AM cent, I guess that one doesn't matter either.

For you to claim to be an expert, you make some of the most uneducated comments on this forum.

Ugh, all my quarter albums are stashed in a closet that is blocked by a ton of boxes and stuff. Guess I will have to wait until next year when I move my man cave to the basement to check the variety :(

I never claimed to be an expert in anything.

And I'm certainly not an expert in minor varieties of Washington quarters. If this is so significant, and if you are so proud of your find, why don't you educate us, rather than just posting a picture?

Others have already tried to do that but your arrogance won't allow it.

Well, I certainly don't get excited about the WAMs, and certainly would never pay for one. I know some people do, and good for them. Doesn't excite me, though.

So, what are the diagnostics for this coin of yours? How many were made? How scarce is it, comparatively? What sort of premium does it fetch?

I see one person has linked to some webpage, and I see someone has called it a "Type C." Type C means nothing to me, and the webpage only showed a couple of diagnostics. Nothing in this thread has really explained the significance, rarity, or importance of the picture you posted.

I might be coming across as arrogant, but I really don't mean to. You posted a picture of a circulated Washington that meant nothing to me, and I'm trying to figure out why you think its special.

I'm not the only one who is confused by this thread, and I'm not the only one that doesn't "get it." Maybe instead of attacking me, you can share some knowledge and educate us.
