Hello everyone! It's not only trash day but another thread. This one is called "3-Cent Thursday!". Please post a 3 Cent coin. Thanks for viewing and sharing. Here are my only ones (again).
PS: Don't part with that one. Judd is being substantially revised as we converse, and will be completely updated and price changed with the next edition, which will is planned for this coming year. 3cs is the sleeper series of collecting, and 3cs Judds are the tadpoles in the deepest part of the pool. Your particular piece is being picked on, by the TPG, with the rim damage designation.
Oddly enough that piece worked for a living... Which I find a bit odd for a pattern piece. And yes I do agree that the rim damage designation was just a bit too persnickety.
Variety 2, MS-64, with a green bean Like Randy's example, this coin also worked for a living, although not as hard. J-125, Prf-58.
Even as old as I am, I still see something new, if I keep my eyes open. That is the first one I've seen of that type. Thanks for posting. I like to learn.
Well thanks. I fully place the blame on my fascination with patterns on @Tall Paul …. Maybe I can twist his arm to show that incredibly fascinating and very, very well done Washington nickel he has.
Ow ow, don't twist so hard. Here you go. J-470, PR-63 Here's a bonus. J-1293, PR-61. And now, back to our regular scheduled programming. Pr-66 Cameo.
I never met the father of our nation but have seen depictions of his bust my whole life…. This is what I believe George Washington looked like. That is the bust of a leader…. Man I love that coin!
As I've written before, that coin was not in the case for more than five minutes before I snagged it. I ran home, raided my safe and traded some bullion for it.
Thanks. At the time I bought it, it was the single highest graded 1862. There have since been a couple regular, boring, non-PL 68s in the census (although I suspect thats one specimen submitted a couple times) Of the PL's designated by NGC, it is in the top 3-5 in the series (only because there are a couple 68PLs) This is one of the Top Biggest Coins in my collection (value), even if it is one of the Top Smallest Coins (dimension).
