I need some serious help. I don't know where to post, but here goes nothing. I need some advice with regard to whether or not I should have some coins graded. The coins in question are 1954-S Washington-Carver half dollars.
Hi, I think I have seen the "L," to Liberty on the rim, but more common than that for me was the "In God We Trust," on the rim! The "L" in your Liberty doesn't look like an "L," anymore. It may be the photo, but if the "L" has been altered, the first thing I would suspect, is that at some point the coin may have suffered light damage there, altering the "L!" I am not an expert so take my feedback with a grain of salt!
I have an error dime I am just curious about. What happened to it and is it worth anything? There are no errors on the reverse side.
First, welcome to the neighborhood! You are likely to get more responses to your question if you start a new thread. It would be best if you cropped the images, first, then resized the images before uploading them to your new thread as "Full Image". From what I can see, it looks like the coin has been "spooned". The rim looks raised as if someone beat on it with the bottom of a spoon. Chris
Hello Could someone tell me if this is a large date or small date I am new to looking for errors so thank you for your help.
Trying to find out if this coin is worth anything? Looks like a 1802 . Wasn't sure if I should clean it or not?
I just came across this 1968 d penny, have never seen an error penny like this. I have never seen the spaces like this in the word trust, also the liberty looks doubled, crooked. Can anyone give me any info on this, would be greatly appreciate! Thank you!
First, welcome to the neighborhood, Wendy! Did you read any of the previous posts? I've quoted part of Post #168 for you to read. Chris
