I can empathise with the problem you have with closing times. CNG is okay for me since they start at about 10pm my time, but almost all the European auctions (and most US ones) start way past my bedtime.

    Sweet CNG-score, Z-bro (congrats)

At first, I read "Live Bon Jovi" on the obverse

Carthago Does this look infected to you?

Don't get me wrong, I want 1 of each. Yours is really nice example with a great pedigree. Congrats Zum!

ps. I like Anvil. You should watch their documentary. It's good but sort of sad. I think their related to Steve.

Yeah, you NEED one of each :). The Story of Anvil is great though, isn't it? Best Canadian heavy metal band ever! :D

I picked up this one yesterday among the ex-Andrew McCabe RR coins that were auctioned off at CNG. Lost a few, but picked up several in the process. Too bad it is a bit off-center, but a nice coin nonetheless:

Roman Republic: L. Aemilius Lepidus Paullus and L. Scribonius Libo (62 BCE) AR Denarius, Rome (Crawford 417/1a; Sydenham 927; Aemilia 11; RBW-1503)

Obv: Veiled and diademed head of Concordia right; PAVLLVS LEPIDVS CONCORD around
Rev: Puteal Scribonianum (Scribonian Well), decorated with garland and two lyres; hammer at base; PVTEAL•SCRIBON above; LIBO in exergue

    From the Andrew McCabe Collection

Ah, you picked up the other one. Congrats! Really nice coin. The reverse is in particular is very well struck and centered!

This is my first venture into RR coins, so it is nice to start off with several McCabe coins :D. Very pleased with the results.

Too bad I got interrupted when I was planning on bidding on several Georgian coins. I was at work during the bidding and hence couldn't place up bids on them :(. Lost every lot :bigtears:
