1993 penny. close or wide

I have same 1993 coin one cent coins were made with the wide AM

That is a close AM. Look at the FG. Also, the FG is a weak strike. Not the BOLD strike like on what you would see on a 1989 cent or wide Real wide AM. It is further away from the building. It is just deteriorated. The deterioration of the coin makes it appear to be a wide AM. Also, the spaces between the letters of the AM would be the same as the other letters of America. That is how you would tell. I have learned that over the years of doing this. I used to think the same thing that you do. Thank you very much for checking out my post. Please don't eat these. While a lot of people, mostly non-experts, like you, may not know this, they're not edible. Excepting they're the milk chocolate kind, like these babies, then you can, but not the golden foil part, that's just the wrapper...
