The condition of this Greek bronze coin is average medium. But still I was fascinated by the amphora on the reverse. I would like to share it with my coin-friends on this site. The obverse shows Emperor Antiochos. Amphora R.JPG Ampho O Antiochos.JPG

    antiochus vi???

this is my only coin that has an amphora, lower left of the obverse. it's been knocked over by the (somewhat sexy) nymph/snake fight.

    Amphorae are like time capsules.
Here's one of my favorites (favorite because it's part of my collection) It's not Seleukid but it is an amphora-like shipping and storage vessel.
