I'd take that one for a black core! My two are sitting on the kitchen counter, in plain sight, waiting for Wednesday. I feel like a kid under the tree on Christmas Eve every time I walk by.
got the half part! now go for the purple allot of haters here! come on Buffalo I know the B day tomorrow but told my grandson if it's purple pass to me if black pass to Dad I'll look later!!!
Wouldn’t that be a heck of a birthday present?! Thanks for the good vibes! I’ll give you some right back! I think we both have a silver dollar (our weights are the same on the heaviest) so let’s get the 81-S or 92-CC if not the big one!
And last but not least (and maybe not last my brother got 9 the sneaky SOB trying to get him to sell me one more lol) Anyhoo.. the last of my present 3 black core 66.8g Oh.. ok I like, not what I wanted, but I still like and fills a spot in my peace dollar set (mostly icg slabs but this makes the 2nd NGCX in the set the other being from series 7 vaultbox my 27d) So here's number 3 a very pretty 1935 peace dollar in 9.2/MS62 NGC list 160 PCGS list 240 so a wide spread on this one, but I'll call it a win
I think you fared well in this series @mrweaseluv ! I'll be happy if I can keep pace with the loot you got! My brother-in-law (Ray) and his two sons (Anthony and Jeremy) all got into this release. Seven black cores with a pile of peace dollars, a v-nickel, and a gold nugget. Two purple cores, which Anthony pulled, one of them a 1864 bronze IHC 9.4 and the other a poker card guard. I told Jeremy that I would love to pull a gold nugget, his was an Alaskan .90g. Ray pulled nothing but peace dollars and wasn't real pleased.
I pulled two black cores. Technically lost my money in this release, but do feel I got my money’s worth before I even opened them. Wouldn’t you spend $300 to feel like a kid again for a few days? The proof wheatie has some really nice toning.
on a positive note I did manage to talk my brother out of 1... he has this weird thing against odd numbers so I should have one more to open come sat/mon
One other thing I forgot to mention - the wife had so much fun with the two releases that we've gotten into she has given me the green light to jump into future releases, no matter the cost.
Interesting, thanks. What makes the trade dollars so valuable? I'm glad that everyone had fun, which is what counts, and that most did ok. Since the USPS found it too hard to deliver my coin I should just head to a LCS and just choose one myself. I care very little about the date or year (within a range), just about the appearance. I want a certain type of toner. Unfortunately the best LCS isn't very convenient to me.
