Shekel of Tyre. I see the prices on these are all over the place. Any info to help guide me on my search would be greatly appreciated.
Prices "are all over the place" because quality is all over the place. The type lasted from 126 BC to 70 AD--a long time. Those dated earlier are generally have a much nicer flan and strike than those dated in the times of Augustus and Tiberius. You need to decide if you want one from near the time of Christ's crucifixion or not. If you do, expect the quality of the strike to be low.
Background info on the shekels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrian_shekel And the listing in question. Weight, time period, price, all of those will help. https://www.vcoins.com/en/stores/to...eagle_tetradrachm_shekel/1670654/Default.aspx
