Ah, learned something. Red Book says the Strong D is worth more. Anyway, the 11-D is the key. Great job. Post them all when you're complete, please.
I found this semi-key date at the FUN show. The heart of the Indian Cent set runs from 1866 to 1878. Aside from those dates, only the 1908-S, '09-S and 1864-L are considered to be especially difficult.
WoW John! Nice coin. 100 years before I was born. Boy, would I like to spend the day at your house. How's the spouse? She mean?
Aww... I guess I'll have to make a withdrawal in IHC's and Large cents. LOL. As far as my wife, only mean in the morning before her coffee....
NICE! Do you have a 1864L IHC? Don't see those often, here anyways. Found aone Metal detecting but not sure as the coin is worn.
I do not. I have the other two '64s, f and xf, and a nice 65 but I'm still looking for the L. Almost had a really nice 59 last week but a sniper got me at the last second.
I had to put on my Coppertone glasses for this one! LOL. Nice! I have a couple 1859's I found Metal Detecting. I remember telling just by the thickness. Always fun to find. I'll have to look for it. Hmmm? Here I go again.
yes, I like those thick early IHC's. I have a 62 that has a rotated reverse, about 40 degrees. can you imagine walking around with a pocket full of those.
