Replacement notes (star notes) do not have the same serial # of bill they replace.
    Project 2013 now has well over 100 matched pairs. I have 2 of them #63 & #66.
I bought them, #63 currently the only 1st run match. I registered over 450 bills in Project2013B. I matched 2 other bills last year, but can't agree other owner, the
bills I have are uncirculated. From straps of 100 bills, one I bought from Karol Winograd. I quit searching bank straps in early 2023 it got to be too much !

Wow! Congratulations. Bottom one looks very clean, it should grade well.

Looking at hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollar bills daily for 6 years.

Do you happen to have B 06615493? I have one of those and would love to find the match and split the pot with another person!

Anyone here have a matching pair of 2013 B star notes for sale ?
    graded or not

I could send cash in the mail too.
I got matching pair #118 in project not long ago, it's posted there.
Other owner has a beat bill, well worse than mine, won't take my offer.
I've had winning bids at Stacks & Great collections (twice) low grade
    25/25, 25/25, & 20/30 paid less than $1200 on each

This seems like an interesting little game-theory problem.

There are thousands of bills out there that fall into this range. To nearly everyone, they're worth face value -- because there are relatively few collectors. So far, not too different from coins or anything else.

To an informed collector, they're worth some small-ish premium, because there's a chance they'll be worth more.

But if you have one of them, then there's one bill out there that's worth a lot more to you. And if the person holding it is also an informed collector, your bill is worth a lot more to them.

So, how do you work out a deal? "Your bill's worth only a couple of bucks without mine. I'll give you, oh a couple of bucks times ten. What a deal!" Yeah, that's not going to fly.

    What are these negotiations like?

There is total of 13.3 million 2013 B (FW & DC) star notes in duplicate range. Project2013B just got matching pair #120, July 13 2024. It's slowing way down, from anyone finding these bills to the matched pairs being sold. Out of 120
matches ~ not many are owned by the same person.
