Thanks to my wife that is. A Denver mint issue from the woman’s quarter program. I don’t even know her name.

Cool! Wait!! You forgot your wife's name??
I don't have one yet. I hear the "guys" here don't like this design at all. Let's see. Hmm. I just think it needs something else on the reverse....

I have found quite a few P’s of her but just got my first D today also. I am not a fan of the design but it does stand out.

A good example of why I quit with modern coins. Just plain ugly. When will the US Mint start making coins with cartoon characters like some of the 3rd World countries? We may be able to actually recognize some of them.

Don't look now but work is underway for a DC Comics commemorative series to be released next year.

I see where the Mint is starting a quarter program to commemorate river rocks from the various rivers in the U.S. I can't wait to get my hands on one from the Mississippi at Vicksburg, or the Colorado just below the Hoover Dam!!! :D:eek::jawdrop:

The "Like" is for informing us, but I find this hard to believe even after I saw this on the mint website. I'm going to work hard tonight to help them for the other 2 years selections, and they must be in only the grade of 70 for me. Yeah right.

Next will be candy bar wrappers.

Those are being issued by the USPS to supplement the wallpaper issues.

It’s a quarter with a D mint mark. No idea who she is or what she did. I know what Washington did but not this person.

Let's just say that the designer had the bold idea to render ALL the reverse text (including the denomination) as calligraphy on the bust, and that choice hasn't been well-received by folks here. (Including me.)

Might have been the same artist that did the Obama official portraits.

Maybe it's just me, but I appreciate the creativity of the design; it's certainly unlike any other US coin, and can't say I've seen any coin quite like it. It's certainly unique in that regard. Possibly confusing to people not from the US but I've not seen anyone here not figure out it's a quarter.

Jovita Idar came out Aug 2023. I have seen 2 of them. I have one in my book, I will need to upgrade one day.

Many don't like this design but I think it's pretty neat. I've never seen a coin like it and think it's unique.

It is unique but lacks something else on the reverse. Maybe a background or Some symbols around her instead built into her blouse. JMO.
