You have quite a collection of moderns there. Even with your current mint feelings I think you should be proud of what you have assembled. I know I would be.
Yes, I am, thank you. I have all the modern commemoratives 1982 to 2018, silver and clad, halves and dollars, proof and uncirculated. Plus a ton of other stuff, as you know.
I’m on the new side to collecting and after reading this thread question my decision to order from the mint, but be that here or there, I did. I recently received the 2024 Peace Dollar and it came with a pink thread attached to the top of the coin. Should I request a replacement, remove it myself, or keep it as is?
Yes, had to go back and look and that spot is on the coin. There are actually multiple marks. Adding a few more pictures. All are marks on the actual coin.
Deal with the mint to return the coin. Those marks will just grow worse over time. Sorry you have to deal with this. The thread is nothing and it’s considered a packaging error but the real problems are with the coin itself. Those spots are the real problem.
