I got the very last 2014 FDR C&C set in the Philly Mint shop on Thursday. Why is Don Rumsfeld on the coin?

By the way did Quality or lack thereof come up at the forum and if so was it addressed?

As far as I can see, there is no household limit. Originally, at least on the first day, there was a limit of 3 (I only needed one so that is all I purchased). Now the limit has been removed (check the Mint site). I too wish there had been something other than the proof silver eagle in the set that you can get from the Mint without purchasing the rest. I was really looking forward to another Presidential silver medal. Don't see these selling out soon even though Reagan was a popular president. Perhaps the Mint decided that there will be many left for collectors of the set without the households limits and decided to remove it. I never received any of the usual offers from dealers saying that they would pay me X amount over the mint price if I purchased a set and then mailed it to them so I was sure that there was plenty of time for collectors to purchase a set from the Mint.

Darn....Lack of quality should have been at the top of the list. Kurt, what person at the mint can I contact regarding the drop in quality. They can look at my order history to show the number of times I had to return my purchases.

I bought only 2 sets. They arrived today, they're beautiful. I held back on ordering the third set (the limit) so I could have one sent to my Son if I felt it was a nice set...it is...he gets one. I like this one better than the JFK set and I like all things shiney and JFK.:singing::D

Mine arrived too. Some pics, as you guys here are probably the only folks interested in seeing them. Heck dang, reverse proofs are a devil to photog......:)

Is there some slight doubling or is that from lighting and imagery? It appears to be only on the LIBERTY SIDE and most pronounced at U and N though there does look to be something going on elsewhere.

Yep. That's one of the problems using images instead of seeing it in person.

Some more pics. This time I muted the light source by attaching velum to the lamps.
