Hi all. Have a couple of cents I recently found in change. look like errors to me. But then again could be deteriorated die or such. Here,s a couple pics to check out. Thanks for any feedback. In God We Trust looks funny, and the tip of Lincolns beard. top lettering on reverse looks strange too. deteriorated die? Die chips above Lincolns shoulder? Reverse looks odd too, PMD? The roofline and tops of the 2nd and 3rd columns on the left?
Did you use a toothpick to push on it to see if it dents or collapses? If it doesn't, it may be an error. If it does, die deterioration.
Thanks Sheila, I forgot all about that.I Did as you suggested. It collapsed, forming a tiny o shaped crater. so just zinc rot I guess.
