    The U.S. Mint (actually, any mint for that matter) is good at coming up with "gimmicks" to sell coins (look at all the quarter series for example).

    I'm somewhat surprised they didn't already come up with this new edging idea...imagine how they would increase their sales volume significantly! :D:p:troll::rolleyes:

    I mean, who wouldn't want one just for the potential increase in value & coolness factor???...like the Bicentennial quarter :joyful::joyful::joyful:...Am I right???

    Huh, that's funny. I was the under bidder on this one.
    Its a super neat piece, I was planning on adding it to the article I am writing, [The Uses and Abuses of Early American Copper]. The coin is an excellent example of a contemporary dough cutter. :)
