See there is a difference between what a object is worth. What some one is willing to pay and what you think it's worth and it's market value

What I list it for is a ms 64 price what I'm expecting is close to a medium 63 but honestly right now I'd settle for a high 62+ or63- price

Yes, I know what FMV is. It is the price that a willing seller and buyer agree upon.

I agree and disagree. There are a lot of buyers browsing eBay but there is a lot of competition in the categories that are popular. The problem (if you want to call it that) is that some of the sellers use eBay to liquidate therefore their prices are below what many think market value should be. That makes it great for buyers but not for sellers looking to get what they always want.

I've looked into selling on Amazon (not because I'm unhappy with eBay but to have another platform to sell from), but they weren't accepting any more sellers in the collectible categories. Have you checked? Has that changed?

Are you one of those melancholy Danes that shoot giraffes in zoos and then feed them to the lions to put on a show for the kiddies?

You have to have certain credentials to sell collectible coins on Amazon and they only accept certain products. It's much more difficult to be able to sell on Amazon than Feebay.

If there is one thing I hate about eBay, and I've lashed out about this on here before (as well as on their community forum) is that eBay manipulates search results. It's called throttling.

eBay basically hides listings from buyers if the seller is ahead of their average monthly sales. Now if listing was free it wouldn't be such of a problem, but I pay a monthly store subscription so I expect to not have any of my listings hidden or buried. They still do it though. That's the biggest problem I have with eBay.

Very true. Many coins, even common ones will consistently sell for much more on other venues like Heritage/Great Collections etc, not only because sellers are dumping old inventory, but on ebay you have to hope that the person that is looking for that one item is on the week that you are selling and there is no outside promotion. .99 cent start auctions can be a serious gamble on ebay. Usually on the other sites prices realized are very close for similar items where ebay could be huge swings in price.

I find myself struggling to sympathize with an OP who complains of prices he can get on eBay, but then declines to provide the info to allow us a "go see". What I do know is that I don't sell ANYWHERE and I consider SOME of the material the OP has shown here to be sub-standard to my tastes. And I'm NO big shot collector. Maybe his eBay material is superior to what he has shown me here, I hope so, but nothing he has shown me here would tempt me to bid, pretty much at ANY price.

Sorry if that's a little "cold" - we are under frost warnings tonight here.

As someone who buys 99% of my coins from ebay, you are right and wrong. I have practically stolen coins off ebay but i have also overpaid. I wouldnt call myself a cheapskate but if i see a coin that is way underpriced im going to get it. Anybody would.

@op isnt one of those sellers who allows offers on his coins but declines all of them automatically, is he??

By the way, I only browse auction listings, never fixed price asks, offer or not. Auction is eBay's legacy and my cultural preference. And I do not snipe, either.
