Well I’ve been an active member for 9 years on CT. Have y’all had enough yet or do you want another year. Lol Here is a good looking Liberty Seated Half Dollar. I’ve had her for some time so I thought she’d make a nice coin for my celebration. There were 880,600 minted and I think she looks pretty good for her age. This is a Type 4 with the motto above the eagle. It has been a pleasure being a member of this site and although I’ve never met anyone I feel as I have a large number of friends. Thank you.
@Randy Abercrombie I know you like these so get out of your beach chair and look at this one. Lol Have a great weekend my friend.
I got you by 6. But I have to tell you, I could have been gone 18 years ago were it not for the support I got in the end against a moderator who had it out for me and was actually casing me just to ridicule me, or so it seemed. I know I pushed back on him some due to some of his dumb-ass comments, but he deserved it, and he didn't have to start calling me a mental case for it. I mean, just think, a gentle guy like me. Cool temperament. Always respectful, always cordial. Never said nothing to nobody, lest they asked for it. There was a point in time where I thought the whole membership was against me, that's how afraid everyone seemed of this mod. He finally threatened to give me my walking papers, if I gave him more lip. Obsessed. And some here saw it. And let me just say, I'm still here after 18 years, and he's not. The name escapes me. Even if I remembered, I wouldn't say. Never no need for nothing like that. Ah well.
Been here 9.5 years. To meet other forum members, we should have meet and greets at some of the larger shows ie. ANA, Long Beach, Whitman, Central States. I'm sure there are others.
Cheers to nine years, Dave, and to many more to come! It may take at least that many more for you to reveal the rest of the unopened packages!
Yes, I remember CT as being A LOT more of a contentious forum in years past. It wasn't just moderators, it was also other users who just couldn't let stuff go. I almost always didn't bother to respond to their provocations. One time I did, telling someone "you should follow your own advice" after they ripped into someone. Never heard of him(her? I think it was a female) ever again here at CT.
Probably and they are building up again. I did find a cure as I haven’t bought any coins in the last 2 months. Frightening!
Coming up on 5 years myself in a few months. Time sure flies. And I do still remember what got me to register. I had/have a copper color 2001 Kentucky quarter that I thought was missing the entire clad layer on both sides. I registered and then after a bit posted it up on the forum to ask questions about it.
