That's a great haul. Though some of the ones you think are silver are not. Also your 1858 Switzerland 20 rappen is a sneaky good coin
I think jb10000lakes Answered that question with a link to numista. I guess you would have to get the gold content checked at a jewlery shop.
This is by far the greatest mixed foreign haul I have ever seen! I mean, from Civil War tokens, Swiss rappen, the German mark, the Chile peso, to NAPOLEONIC gold. I mean, truly incredible. The 5 francs looks genuine to me although I am unfamiliar with the series, but nothing about seems off or unusual. I would probably be comfortable purchasing it if I encountered it.
The gold is real if it feels real, probably. It should feel heavy. It's all real and I'm most jealous of the Iscoda MI token. I don't think it's rare because it's listed by Cote but it's a better one. The dealer would not intentionally put these coins in the poundage and would never put gold in. The gold should weigh 1.613 g so it feels right to me.
Honestly I'd buy every foreign bag that dealer has for sale. He either doesn't know better or doesn't care. Too bad for the people who sell to him though.
Amazing range of dates as well from 1743 to 1978. At least two civil war tokens, silver coins and a gold coin all for $8. I agree with Hiddendragon, see if he has more.
