@Silver Searcher , I believe the main reason you are receiving so much negative feedback (besides people's aversion to videos) is that this site is a community of collectors, we share our finds and knowledge, and appreciate others finds and knowledge. You have clearly just joined this site to promote your videos. It seems you could care less about the other members opinions or finds/purchases. I can care less if you stay or go, but since I frequent the CRH sub forum often I couldn't help but seeing your videos and the ensuing conversations. Just figured I'd put in my 2 cents worth, and let you know (if you weren't already aware) that using this site strictly to advertise your YouTube channel isn't going to gain you many likes or subscribers. Whatever happens, happens. Good luck hunting, and I hope you take this as food for thought.
Its not cool to bully a child trying new things. Give kind, constructive criticism or dont say anything at all.
Is it "cool" to call a 38-year-old a "child"? I'll support "kind, constructive criticism" for just about anyone, but when it's ignored -- not even rejected, but ignored, as though he cares about no one's words but his own -- I eventually give up. That's far from "bullying".
Whether he's a kid or not, he's made it very plain that he's a person who does whatever he wants and whenever he wants without regard to whether it's welcome.
Wow... thats real deep of you, Kevin, but what's most interesting is that you failed to follow your own advice. You may see your post as "kind, constructive criticism", but is really nothing more than crap spewed by someone, with a whopping three posts to this board, making an ill-informed assumption regarding the motives of others. Instead of opening your mouth, perhaps you should've taken the few necessary minutes to discover what's really going on here. Perhaps then you'd understand that the only abuse occurring is in how this kid uses the board.
Don't join this board just to jump in here and lecture. Unless, of course, you are the same individual as or a friend of the video poster. In that case, get off the site and go trolling elsewhere.
continued ridicule, shame, condemnation, and mockery of his threads will continue until he leaves or moderators take it down!!!!
Be careful. I picked up a Trojan from one of his videos or one of his links. Don't click on anything he post. The guy is nothing but trouble.
You sure man? So far it's been good old fashioned self promotion, butI don't know how you can get a Trojan Horse from watching a YouTube video. Also, full disclosure : I hate video postings. Unless it's a rick roll thing.
If you are tired of this guy just add him to your ignore list and you won't see his aggravating threads.
I tried to change up and be nice with some advice but until everyone quits this thread, it will continue ad nauseum. We all need to let this one go and not get involved in another. Just sayin'.
And that was very kind of you, Tommy. I too tried the hopefully helpful approach, but as happened to you, it was ignored, without the slightest acknowledgement, in favor of more self-promoting fantasy garbage. Unfortunately, I doubt anything will change if we ignore this individual, and considering some of his videos contain harmful advice, not warning the less informed, who may assume because it's posted on a coin forum this kid knows what he's talking about, could end up causing more harm than good. We may not be able to do anything about the huge amount of poor info online, but I'd like to think we can keep this little corner of it as clean as is possible.
Silver searcher I would recommend you save your videos for your channel. I love to see pictures of finds and to see what we find as a community. I think the common theme for all of us is we just want to see what you got. Not all of us have the time to watch a video and therefore we will pass your posts up. My best advice for you would be to just post pictures and talk about your finds. That might help your reputation.
