The fact is, this profile was done just as he took a sip of his iced tea & discovered it wasn't "sweet tea"...true story! (Oh god, I'm sounding like "Let's Go Brandon") Nice pics, btw!
No. That is all circulation wear. And I’m revising my wear grade assessment to XF40. The tricky lips aside, the only (good) reason to keep this coin is if it bears a variety with definitive die markers to confirm it…imo…Spark
Some of the best images I've seen on cointalk! By far! Do you do this as a professional? If not, you should! Any hints or tips? Tks
More than weird. They are terrible. It's like they purposely made pennies to be biodegradable. Plating blisters are very common and destructive to the coin. I get early year runs of shield cents in my change and most of them are badly discolored in most cases.
Yes. The last 4 years of the Memorial reverse Zincolns ( 2005-08 ) are listing for MS65RED from $9.60-12.80…as of 4 days ago, and this was from FMV-land. What goes without saying is this grade in RED is extremely difficult to find from circulation or from CRH. Higher probabilities exist if you find or buy original rolls that were tucked away when they first came out each year. Good luck with that. What I have found CRH this past 5 weeks or so are AU58RED and AU58+RED, but only 1 or 2 per year out of 10 rolls ( 500 cents ). Current values are low, from 5-9 cents. This the reality of collecting Zincolns from these years. So anyone starting to collect them are way behind the curve. Shield reverse Zincolns are a much better target for those who insist on collecting them. I don’t. …imo…Spark
@Dan Galbato thank you very much I was impressed with myself s well lol It takes me forever to position the coin and camera and fixing the lighting from covering light sources to not covering them etc and it can take me a few minutes or hours. Its the most exhausting task to get a good photo of your coin. The one thing I did find out taking pics during daytime and being able to use the natural light as well this is the best advice on the lighting I found. I don't know if that helped you any. I am definitely no pro but truly appreciated your compliment.
Weird, yes! Me likes weird.... Weird is a girl with a bullnose ring and several piercings at a store cashout counter.
I was only stating a fact! lol. Did you use any special equipment? If done with a cell phone, I really need more practice.
@Dan Galbato hi Dan this is the best info I found so far on how to photograph coins anywhere on the web or forums I attached the link below and the pic I attached is the lighting I used I got 2 of them from Amazon I hope this helps you out
