I'm going to (perhaps foolishly) go against the grain. My first thought was AU something and I'm sticking with that, AU-55, thinking it may have been slabbed a while back. It is a very pretty coin, and the second set of images put it in a better light. I'll be happy to be way off base. Steve
I have seen a few sites cheaper than I paid but I mostly paid for the color and the potential. I like it and I don't think it will be trading hands any time soon.
I would love to have a TruVideo or whatever they decided to call of it of this coin and many others I have. It is hard to believe they don't have something like that already for high dollar coins and coins with color. People with coins that exceed my income would probably love this idea even more than I would.
I didn't submit it actually, I bought it holdered this way. I think I got a great deal on it really as I paid only about $50 more than APMEX is asking for a white Pan-Pac in AU. This one might go back to PCGS or possibly NGC.
Was this the coin that had an MS 62 label. If so, it definitely has a chance to be back in a 62 or 63 holder.
From greattoning on EBay this summer yeah it was. I think I can get it in a 63 or possibly 64 holder. It may go to NGC as I don't want another details holder.
I was watching it (thus I refrained from guessing the grade). From what I have heard/read on the the various forums, NGC is tougher on toning lately so sending it to PCGS might be the better option (although I have no personal experience...the closest thing I have done is send an ex NGC artificial toning classic commem to Anacs where it deservingly, in my opinion, received a straight grade).
Pcgs not ngc. Ngc is ridiculously hard on coins with any hint of color. If you want a better chance at a straight grade it's pcgs all the way!
