I have found them on the floor and on the shelf. Sometimes under the machine. The silvers on the shelf, I can only imagine they put the coin in 3 or 4 times and it keeps getting rejected (wrong metal) and they give up and leave it on the shelf.

A few cents and dimes in a coinstar. Looked like they had been in a gravel parking lot. There were a few that has not slid all the way down from the tray. I tried to get them with a key but they fell in. I ran the machine. It was 23 cents. Printed the voucher and the fee was 63 cents :(

Sometimes the Safeway across the street calls me. I usually shop at a King Soopers, but the other day the ladys at the Smoke shop said that they were out of caffiene so I went and bought them some cold Mocha Starbucks. On the way out a 64'D dime in the coin star. I have checked that one a few times, skunked mostly, but if there was change there was silver. 2 Mercs and a Rosie from that machine.

If I counted correctly it was $2.04 in common change and a 1957 Roosevelt Dime. Sorry if the photos are not very clear.
I'm very thankful to find so much!:)

It just amazes me at how many newer coins get rejected, and how many people just leave them behind!

This was pocket change quarter today.
Starting thread on it. Someone asked how to grade these coins in early wear conditions.

We don’t know who these women are. Look at a cent with an unusual backing(reverse) wheat must be a farmers token

Dumped a bunch of coins in the coin machine at my credit union today and this little guy was laying there in the reject bin waiting for me. He's definitely seen better days but, hey, silver is silver.

Haven't checked a reject slot in years. I remember finding change in the arcade all the time. I didn't need much of my own money. Do miss those days. 1532319-3e00c060fee1126062890dadf5456f8e.jpg

I thought it said, "a small scare", like it scared you that it might be a 1943 cent!
