1902 V Nickel clipped twice

    Just want to know if it’s done by the mint or did someone alter the coin? Thank you.

    That looks like an intentional mutilation. Need to see the edge for the small “clip”, but the large, straight cut does not jive with a true edge for an incomplete planchet (ICP) when punched out of the stock sheet.

    With the large cut, the small cut could be a bonifide ICP but is a moot point due to the damage of the large…imo…Spark

    That's an altered Nickel.
