Discussion in 'What's it Worth' started by Kathleen Baker-Short, Jun 2, 2024.

  1. I have had this for years. Been collecting since the 60's. I have no idea about price and would like to know if anyone can help. The dime is totally defective. Weight is 2.1 and can't tell date. Please help me. Thank you

Looks like a parking lot dime?

  4. It is not ran over or has any marks from damage except the 2 marks on face

    Welcome to CT!

Maybe others can offer some thoughts on it.

  7. Thanks, been in CT group for years. I put regular camera pictures so you can tell it is not a parking lot dime

That's no mint error of any kind.

As @Fred Weinberg would say.. looks whizzed.

Remember.. just because something looks different, weird or strange doesn't automatically make it an error. There are many ways coins can be altered post mint.

I’m not seeing any mint errors, just mild damage.

Looks like acid to me too. Whatever it is, it didn't leave the mint like that.
