Thank you, I am currently bidding on about a dozen interesting coins at various auctions, so hopefully I will get to post at least some of them in this thread in the coming weeks.
Picked these up at a recent Stack's auction. I just thought they were interesting and will fit neatly into my trade token, exonumia, and box of 100 collections. 1813 1/2 Penny trade token, Essex Walthamstow, AU 58 Credits. I've had my eye on this kingly specimen for the last six months. I was able to negotiate a small reduction in price and it's now mine. 1911 George the Fifth, Half Crown, Prf 66.
I have a small subset of 25 elongated cents from world's fairs, exhibitions etc. All pre 1939. I keep looking for one that shows a Zeppelin on it. You might be interested in this group: https://tecnews.org
99% sure it's been cleaned/polished (or both) and about 98.9% sure it's not a proof, but I couldn't pass it up for $5.00. It looks nice in person and I'm happy with it either way, but what are your thoughts on this? Any chance at all it's actually a proof, or just another shined up business strike? Also, sorry for the couple off-color pictures. Sometimes my phone doesn't want to cooperate!
