    acquired this week:

    fr1910_1977a_1_frn_dc_cope_natick_e78606512h.jpg

Fr. 1910 1977-A $1 FRN DC COPE Natick in VF grade

    E 786 06512 H - run 62 - pp F2 - fp F2099 - bp 3127

afaik this brings the Natick non-error census from 13+1 to 14+1 notes (regular+star)

also, afaik this marks the lowest Natick serial number so far... though still not run 61

the fp/bp combo does align as expected with the many known Natick overprint errors

How do you tell which notes have the Natick test paper? I would have no idea how to tell that apart from the standard notes.

Welcome to Coin Talk. Quite a few of our members visit the paper money forum. Myself, I only have about a 2 dozen star notes and a web note. Might be to my advantage to start keeping an eye out for Natick overprints, too. Don't know if you have seen this article, but it sounds like it is right up your alley, so to speak.

I wonder if there is any interest in having a separate forum dedicated to paper money? I can set it up and administer it.

    An update.

I re-requested FOIA 2017-09-183 from the Treasury Department – Vernon's prior request re Natick.

The response includes a page from "The Standard Handbook of Modern United States Paper Money" which cites the 3 known serial number ranges, plus 42 pages comprised of a Memorandum on 13 possible counterfeit deterrents.

Said 1979 Memorandum describes the Natick experiment:
