Well, it looks like Hurricane Matthew will be heading north in the Atlantic very close to Florida shores. For decades, the coastline from Ft. Lauderdale to St. Augustine has been known to produce Spanish treasure washed up from offshore wrecks or uncovered from beneath the "sands of time". So, how many of you plan to haul your metal detectors out to the shores after the hurricane has passed? Chris
Maybe something like this will happen... http://www.cbs8.com/story/31076883/sin-ship-uncovered-along-coronados-beach
The most recent discovery of treasure that I can recall was about $200,000 in Spanish silver found by a metal detectorist near Ft. Lauderdale after Hurricane Frances. Chris
For a mine lab? I'm no expert but I thought they were all high end. Do they have entry level models or did you get a screaming deal on a used one?
Mine is a camo Bounty Hunter. ITs been good to me though, found gold, and silver, Loves copper and cuppro, When I hit gold or, silver, it lets out a multitude of tones.
The slug on the bottom was forund in a park before they re-vamped it. It rang of all the tones of zinc brass and Copper, and gave an eah sound at the end.
