Do you find this toning distracting and what would you pay for it?

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I'm not sure what your goals are in the hobby, so you can correct me if I make any bad assumptions. However, if you are buying coins in order to sell them and make a profit, Ebay is *absolutely* not the place to do that. On Ebay, you will generally pay full retail and then some. You need to find coins at a wholesale price, or buy them at a price where you can make a profit. Buy low, sell high is the only way for an investor/dealer to make money. In this example, you've already *paid* for the color bump, trying to increase the price further isn't probably realistic.

However, if you are buying the coin because you like it, you hold it for a while, and then it is time to move on and decide to sell it - don't necessarily insist on making a profit (or even recovering everything you have in it). You won't always recover your money, and that's just life. Smart buying, holding for a long period, and smart selling will increase your odds of making money - but that isn't the primary goal for collectors.

Of course, when we are talking about large sums of money then it is only prudent to try to get the best prices we can (both buying and selling). The difference is for an investor this is the primary goal, for the collector this is secondary.

Ebay is pretty much the only place I get coins, and I have done decent making a little flipping them. Of course, I probably look through hundred a day, and this is not my SOLE income.

I would pay $60-80. I just don't see the added value of toned coins. Definitely not a $900 coin.

I bought the coin because it was a nice example of a harder to find mintage.

My goal wasn't to flip it. I had hopes of holding onto it and giving it to my son when he is older. I'm turning some of my items into cash to have it on hand instead of being tied up in objects. This is just one of the items to sell. If not this one then I have a MS65 '23 D Peace to part with or an '82 S Morgan in MS67 or 2 '48 S Merc Dime MS68's or '83-O MS66 Morgan OGH never graded since the 90's which could be a 67 or gold bean or...

It's just a matter of what I feel like selling and or selling for.

You must not know coins. Good luck finding a 1900 O/CC MS64 for $60-80

    There are alternatives to resubmitting.

The reverse toning is quite nice, at least in modest premium territory, but the obverse looks low-end 64 to me from the picture.

    Hiccup, burp, or indigestion?

While I like toned coins (never used to) I'll never pay a major premium for them. Too fleeting with what what lies down the road.

Your images may not be up to par with the asking price. Sell the sizzle...
