Hello everyone, I did my first metal detecting trip since returning from Rock Hill South Carolina where I participated in a Metal Detecting event. I detected Prospect Park in Brooklyn for about 4 hours Today I want to share the following finds.. Silver War Nickel - 1944 P Silver Roosevelt 10C 11 Wheat Cents Everything Copper plated zinc cents - Damaged I actually haven't included these damaged Cents in many of my past threads. I decided to show you how bad they can be. Picture before cleaning
I’m pleased to hear your trip to South Carolina was a good one. Now your back in NYC finding more treasures. Nice silver finds too. Those zinc cents are nasty looking but I have a few that all worse. I know the story on mine and it’s amazing how fast they will deteriorate given the tight environment.
When I detected it I thought that it could be a foreign coin or some cool token. But it's just a normal washer with some adhesive on the surface
