I'm really confused @Dan Galbato .... The coin is legit, is it listed as stolen any where? There are coin sites that will provide lists of coins reported as stolen. I'm just interested in why you are so sure this is a stolen coin. I see no evidence for that at all, and several other members have chimed in with similar views.
He just thinks a new seller with garbage photos and redacting the cert# in only one place is a scammer.
Problem is she probably wouldn't learn or be told the value by the pawn shop and get $80...stating that the husband said he paid $100 and they would be doing her a favor
Cwart, I can see your reason for defending a new seller or some innocent rookie starting out but I can’t understand your over abundance of trust towards what was an obvious deceptive listing! How’s this, from now on when I see something bogus, I’ll send you the link and you can climb out on that limb!
I know a guy headed for diversification I'm holding what he says is about $35k in graded cardboard. After leaving the house his soontobe cleaned up some stuff and threw it out That probably won't go over well in the courts but she probably didn't have a clue as to what she was cleaning up and getting rid of. By the sounds of it, she didn't know or even try to get opinions or check with a pawn shop. Word is three large trash bags were thrown out. Now mind you, I'm remaining NEUTRAL like Switzerland just holding cardboard till the dust settles.
