Anyone here ever bid in one of his auctions? I'm new to the site and did place an arbitrary bid on something I liked. What was your experience?
They do not charge shipping and handling fees. They do charge sales tax if that is something your State charges. All my coins arrived in abourt5 to 6 days. James
I have gotten some nice coins from them. They also have the Hansen collection which have a very high drooling on my keyboard factor. Hansen coins are beautiful but well beyond my reach.
I've bought from DLRC in the past with no issue, but as mentioned then do tend towards higher end coins
Thanks for the responses fellows...@Jim (samclemons).....The free shipping and absence of a buyers premium is what first attracted me. I'll let you guys know if I win anything.
Well, turns out I scored a nice Arkansas Centennial for a price reasonable to me. No tax, no buyers premium, and no cost for shipping. I'm liking what I see with these folks. Now to await the new purchase. 3-5 business days, they state. We'll see......
My experiences with DLRC have all been positive. I've bought some really nice coins from them in the past year. I splurged a little and was able to get a couple ex Hansen IHCs for my registry set.
I work there if you have any questions. Unfortunately we are going to start charging a small amount for shipping to help offset the $175k we spend on free shipping each year. But it won’t be a full rack rate.
I can understand a reasonable amount for the shipping charges, but the BP on certain other auction sites is absolutely criminal. I'd forgotten that you worked there (DLRC) C-B-D. I'm really diggin' the Sunday nite auctions. Keep up the good work.
Oh, dear me, I forgot to let you guys know that the coin arrived and I am very satisfied with my purchase. What I saw online is what I got 'in hand'. Fast shipping too......won it on Sunday, had it by Thursday.
