I’ve been collecting for some time now and have built I think 4 sets of barber dimes during that time. I’ve also got a fifth and sixth set in the works. The fifth set is just a g/VG set for funsies, and the sixth set is my pièce de résistance, a set of all graded AU coins. I have been saving in case an AU 1895 O came on the market, but the last one to hit the market was an AU 50 in 2020. But BAM, a wild AU appeared and now I have a crown jewel in my set. That’s a beautiful and a tough coin in any grade. Congratulations!

I knew some of those O-mint Barber dimes were tough, but never having collected that series by date, I wasn't fully aware of just what kind of "unicorn" we were talking about here.

So I looked it up. Wow.

Desirable in any grade- but an AU is indeed impressive!

    Wow! Quite the find.

I don't think I'd be doing multiple sets of anything however. I'm too much of an "omnivore."

Sweet! Much better than my VG8, raw, in the complete series.
