I think I have accumulated enough material to make some decent videos. Any ideas or tips on how to make interesting youtube video? Text / audio content...? Maybe I can hit up openAI and see what results come out.?
If you haven't ever talked to a Camera/Microphone, then don't do your best video ideas first. The reason being is that you will likely say so many uhh's, and's & so's that you will be planning to redo that topic as soon as the video is created. This is a common problem with new creators and I was no exception. It goes away after a couple try's and remember, "If you don't start somewhere, you'll never get anywhere". Good Luck!
Title the videos: "I was about to throw this coin back into circulation when I noticed this...." Have images of dollars raining down all over you while the video thumbnail shows your face with a gasp looking at the coin in your hand. Videos like that usually gets millions of clicks in no time. Those are the quantity over quality type of vids. For quality over quantity vids, make sure all the coin data and facts that you provide in the video are accurate and correct with perhaps providing corresponding examples. That's the best advise I'd give.
Some YouTubers are just doing the same content as the others. If you find a video interesting, improve on it and put your own spin on the content...then a giveaway for subscribers/viewers of the previous video is always a good draw for more subs and views.
Classical Numismatics is one good channel. Perhaps the OP will get some ideas from his presentations. Aaron Berk also does a coin 'podcast' (youtube video series).
A famous radio commentator once observed that content is king. If the idea is interesting enough, it doesn't matter if it's a newspaper, magazine, etc., people will seek it out. The history podcast Totalus Rankium did a great job of making Roman and Byzantine history fun, while still being informative.
