I received some black beautys, a little while ago. I was told that they were. I believe them because it was someone from here. I will post 2 of them 1958 and 1959. But also, I need to know, can any other dated coin have this? I have a few I kept over the years. But here is the two Nickels. Are they nice black beautys? Not "Black Beauty's". Environmental "toning".
Beauty's are improperly annealed coins. Basically, they were left in the furnace too long. Here's an old tread on the subject.....

I disagree. Those are Improperly Annealed.
    Not environmental exposure toning.
1958 and 1959 are the known dates for those errors.

I think I know who sent them to her and he had a thread on the issue. A different thread than the one you shared. I believe he found an entire roll of them.

I personally think that it's cool but not really a major error. I've seen raw examples sell for $10.00 - $15.00

Just because a coin is in a slab doesn't make it more valuable ;)

If you want to send some error coins to be graded and attributed try ANACS. They don't charge a lot and they are reputable. Google ANACS and you will get their information.

I’ve searched a couple tons of nickels in the past 5 years. They don’t get searched much. Cuds, clippers, clashes ,capped die with and without brockage and more. Even an 39D/rev 38. IMG_6618.jpeg IMG_6619.jpeg Only one Black Beauty to date.

I have a few and don't feel the need to have them in a slab. They are very cool coins to have.

I sent mine to ANACS. With their special it was $13. Regards, Sting. 20230304_201909.jpg 20230304_201923.jpg

    Improper alloy?
Improper annealing is when the heating to soften the metal is exposed to contaminants, usually oxygen from a bad seal or settings

The obverse of Shrews '59 shows an interesting pattern on the device. Can anyone shed some light on that? Struck thru? Struck thru cloth?

You left out the word "mix". Thus the softness, thus the annealing.

I might have worded it better
    Is ANACS saying these aren’t 75/25% copper/nickel?
